SIRS is dedicated to helping improve the quality of interventional radiological patient care. In line with this, the society’s Standards of Practice Committee (SoPC) has been charged with the task of creating SIRS Guidelines, quality assurance and standards of practice documents that assistive interventional radiologists in their daily practice.
The standards of practice guidelines produced by the SoPC are aimed at experienced interventional radiologists as well as novices in the field of IR, and may also be used as a reference for physicians from other medical specialties. Topics for the SIRS Guidelines are highly specific, covering particular procedures and/or illnesses.
